Condensate Polishing

Purolite's SuperGel premium resins, SGC-650 and SGA-550, have been specifically designed for use under high flow rate conditions such as mized beds and/or condensate polishers. Given the performance demands of condensate polishers, Purolite's SuperGel resins ensure fast kinetics, high operating flow rates and chatillion bead hardness strengths that are more than double that of conventional resins.

Both SGC-650 and SGA-550 have been engineered with a 1.1 uniformity coefficient, the SGC-850 cation component has a nominal mean diameter of 650 microns while the complimentary anion, SGA-550 has a mean diameter of 550 microns.

By using resins with narrow particle size distribution, it is possible to achieve near perfect separation of these components. This separation can clearly be seen as the black cation resin settles at the bottom of the resin bed while the less dense light colored anion resin migrates to the top.
